What is Derma Roller?

Derma Roller also called micro-needling is a titanium device that is rolled over the skin to create thousands of tiny contact points. This causes the body to create a wound healing process for rejuvenated, smoother and younger looking skin. • Uneven skin texture
  • Large pores
  • Acne scarring
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Loss of volume
  • Dull skin

A topical numbing cream is applied to the area before carrying out Derma Roller treatments to ensure any pain is minimised. Variable treatment intensities allow us to further control the comfort of the treatment.

The main benefit is that of stimulating new collagen and elastin which will help rejuvenate tired, flagging skin or repair acne scars or stretch marks. Another benefit of Derma Roller is that it adds extra value when used in conjunction with another skincare product or technique. If you are undergoing hair loss treatment, then Derma Roller enables the hair restoration lotion to be quickly absorbed into the skin thereby speeding up the results. The main reasons for this are easy absorption of any skin care products plus collagen growth which means younger, firmer and healthy looking skin.

Derma Roller treatment usually consists of 5 sessions followed by a period of 5 weeks before any further sessions.

You will see a plumping effect almost immediately, however the natural healing process takes time, so it can take up to six weeks before you see significant results – although some improvements can be seen much sooner. The process will continue over the following months and several treatments are usually required.

After your treatment, your skin will appear red and flushed; a normal sign that the treatment is working and will subside within a few days.  SPF 30 should be worn daily following on from the treatment for at least two weeks. An ongoing effective daily skincare regime is crucial to help promote and achieve optimum results
