Cheeks Augmentation

High, prominent cheekbones and a well-defined jawline, are coveted facial features and characteristics of beauty. Some people are naturally born with these high cheek bones, often characteristics seen in model portraits. With facial ageing the cheeks become flatter as a consequence of loss of facial volume and reduced facial fat. Cheek augmentation with dermal fillers can improve facial contours and balance out facial features, restoring a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing look.

The filler works by adding volume and fullness to the skin. It uses a naturally occurring substance found in the body, thus these fillers are absorbed quicker than other products. It also means that the results of such fillers are reversible.

After giving topical anaesthesia, the practicioner injects the filler into the desired areas.  The procedure may take around 60 minutes.  The results of the injection will depend on the product used.  Repeat treatments may be recommended to sustain the new look.

Before having injections at Sixth Sense Beauty Clinic you should have good health and not smoke. You may not be a suitable candidate for fillers if you suffer with:

  • Blood-clotting problems
  • Lupus

A history of cold sores, allergies, or reaction to lidocaine is important information for injector. They should also be aware of any medications you presently take, including over-the-counter medicines and herbal supplements.

There are no serious complications documented with nonsurgical cheek enhancement.  Mild redness or swelling can occur at the injection site following the procedure; this is temporary and usually goes away in a few days.  There is no down-time and patients may go back to their work or daily routine after the procedure.
